travel, SAILING, adventure
I spent a huge chunk of my early life struggling with depression, anxiety and poor mental health.
Now that these things no longer hold me back, I intend to make up for lost time.
I wholeheartedly believe in making the most of life, living bravely and doing what makes you happy. A big part of that for me is seeking out adventure, pushing myself outside of my comfort zone and encouraging others to do the same.
One of my favourite things is to travel slowly and immerse myself in a country, its culture and landscapes. I also love spending time in wild places. In 2023 I bought a boat, it sank, but I still hope to sail around the world.
Join me as I document some of my adventures and the things I learn along the way.

What to do when your dream plans get f***ed
Life doesn't always go as planned, but setbacks can lead to valuable lessons. Here's what I learnt when things went wrong this year.
Realigning with my Reasons For Sailing
Whilst I enjoyed many things about my time in Port Louis, I was also beginning to realise that being in marinas didn’t reflect what I valued in sailing.
TRANSAT DIARY: ARRIVING IN THE CARIBBEAN
I had become intoxicated with a clarity of mind which I have yet to discover anywhere other than being at sea.
Seeking new horizons by sail
I’ve decided to depart for warmer climes for the foreseeable. I am now embarking on a new adventure, hitchhiking onboard sailing vessels despite having next to no sailing experience – all whilst continuing to work as a freelance writer.
Why I’m no longer interested in ‘success’
I’ve realised that life is too short to worry about what other people think of your decisions and it’s too short to not take a risk in the pursuit of happiness – or contentment.
Winter, perspective and adopting a ‘challenge-oriented’ mindset
Positive mental framing and adopting a ‘challenge-oriented’ mindset is what has led to a marked positive shift in my wellbeing over the past couple of years – the past twelve months in particular. What can we learn from the Norwegian mindset to help us get through this winter?
